Championing Rural Aged Care: Angie Robinson Joins the QCS Board

Quirindi Care Services (QCS) is excited to welcome Angie Robinson to its board of directors. With nearly two decades of leadership experience in the aged and home care sector and a lifelong commitment to advocating for rural communities, Angie’s insights and expertise are set to make a lasting impact.

My biggest motivator is being able to make a difference to the lives of older people in any way I can, and this is what drives me every day.

Angie’s journey in aged care began as a registered Occupational Therapist, where her passion for helping older people live independently was ignited by her deep connection with her grandparents.

“As an Occupational Therapist, I’ve always found myself working with older people, supporting them to be independent and lead meaningful lives,” Angie shares.

“This became an area of passion for me very early in my career, driven by a deep connection with my grandparents.”

Angie Robinson brings her passion for rural communities and nearly 20 years of aged care leadership to the QCS Board, helping drive positive change for older Australians.

Throughout her career, Angie has taken on senior management and executive roles at renowned organisations like Calvary, KinCare, and integratedliving Australia. She has excelled in areas such as leadership and governance, operational management, transformational strategy, and digital innovation. Her advocacy work with sector peak bodies, including the Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) and Catholic Health Australia (CHA), underscores her dedication to addressing the unique challenges faced by rural and regional communities.

I am heavily involved with sector peak bodies, including ACCPA and CHA, regarding the current aged care reforms, and I’m passionate about ensuring these changes make a real difference, particularly in rural and regional areas.

“I saw this role as an opportunity to give back to the sector in a different way,” Angie explains. “The wide-ranging reforms in aged care have the potential to be life-changing for older Australians. I’m excited to support these changes, especially in rural areas like Quirindi, where access to services can sometimes be limited.”

Angie upbringing on a dairy farm in the Hunter Valley shaped her deep understanding of rural life. She reflects on how this connection has influenced her career and her decision to join the QCS Board:

“Quirindi reminds me so much of my home community. The challenges here are similar, and I’m thrilled to contribute my skills and experience to support an organisation that plays such an important role in the lives of its residents,” she said.

Angie is particularly passionate about helping QCS navigate the evolving landscape of aged care reforms.

“I think my skills and experience bring a lot of value to QCS,” she says. “I’ve worked directly with business unit managers, executive teams, and boards as a trusted partner across a wide range of operational functions. I’m looking forward to supporting the QCS community as we navigate these changes together.”

I grew up on a dairy farm in Denman, and while it’s no longer operational, my family still runs the farm. Quirindi experiences very similar challenges to my home community, and that’s why I’m excited to support a regional organisation like QCS.

Outside of her professional commitments, Angie enjoys exploring Australia with her partner in their caravan.
“My partner and I love getting away and spending time in this wonderful country we live in,” she says. Family is another cornerstone of her life. With five adult children and two grandchildren spread across Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast, Angie cherishes the precious time they spend together.

Angie vision for QCS is grounded in a heartfelt commitment to making a difference: “My biggest motivator is being able to improve the lives of older people in any way I can. That’s what drives me every day.”

Quirindi Care Services is honoured to have Angie Robinson as part of its board. Her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to improving the lives of older Australians will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation and Quirindi community.
