I would like to take this opportunity to firstly Thank everyone for welcoming me in as General Manager, I am incredibly appreciative of this wonderful opportunity and I firmly believe we will all do great things together to ensure we contribute to our residents receiving the best care and the overall success of Eloura.
The 15th and 16th may saw the Age Care Quality Agency attend out facility to conduct a reaccreditation visit, they spoke highly of the care that is being delivered to the residents and had a wonderful time meeting with staff and residents
It has been a very busy month of May and June at Eloura, Chairman of the Board, Jim McDonald, Katie More and myself attended a 2day action packed conference in Sydney where we immersed ourselves in learning all things Governance from a Board of directors level and Management Level.
The most important aspect of the conference was going through the New Standards for Age Care, information about the Royal Commission, the outcomes and future being heavily focused on bringing improved conditions for all standards of care Nationwide.
The Flu season has approached and we have ensured that all Residents, Board members and Staff receive their flu shots with thanks great Thanks to Georgie coming to Eloura to administer with assistance of Katie, Sharon and Krishma.
June has seen an exciting new addition to our facility with the installation of TV’s, Special thanks to Greg and Rene for their hard work. The TV’s are a great aspect as they will provide our residents, Visitors and staff with information about the new standards, Pictures of our residents and general facility information.
A very important Morning Tea will be held at Eloura on 1st, 2nd, 3rd July for the New charter of Residents Rights, I encourage all families to attend and we look forward to meeting you providing such wonderful information.
